Puger is a point break located about 36 kilometers southwest of Jember on Java’s eastern coastline, featuring a sand and rock bottom. The spot offers right-hand waves ranging from 50 to 150 meters in length, providing a different experience compared to the previously noted lefts and occasional rights. It works best with southeast swells and west winds, particularly during rising to high tides. While generally mellow and suitable for intermediate surfers, the waves can still be enjoyable for advanced riders. The area remains relatively uncrowded, though visitors should respect local surfers and be mindful of potential pollution. The surrounding region retains a local fishing village atmosphere and hosts the annual 'Petik Laut' festival. Nearby attractions include Kucur Beach, known for its red monkeys. Facilities are basic, but food and drinks are available near the beach, and the spot is accessible via public transport from Bali to Jember followed by a taxi.
